In Japan, there are over 300 pedestrian crossings which allow pedestrians to cross an intersection in every direction at the same time.

The most famous one that you might have seen in a movie or something is the Shibuya scramble crossing, where hundreds to a thousand people cross for each signal change.

Since this crazy crossing is recognized as the typical image of Tokyo, it’s used for TV or movie locations.

The recent movies showing the crossing are, “Lost in Translation”, “The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift” and “Babel”.
