The Takarazuka Revue is all-female Musical troupe, which has main theaters in Takarazuka and Tokyo, Japan.

Since it was founded in 1913, they have aimed to provide “the shows that everyone can enjoy, without distinction of age or sex.”

Today, their shows are still enjoyable for men and women in any generations.

The themes of their performances vary; for example, historical plays, fantasy or science fiction.

The performers are all Takarazuka Music school graduates.

This two-year school is very rigid and used to be called “army school” metaphorically.

The students are taught all kinds of dances, theatrical plays, piano, [W:shamisen], koto ([W:yamatogoto]) to be Takarazuka performers.

Because the all performers survived the hard lessons, the shows are incredibly beautiful.
