JAPAN Style has introduced different types of Japanese robots such as singing robot, humanlike robot, and jumping robot.

Just like other robot, this TOYOTA robot has a special talent, which is playing the trumpet!

Just let you know, it’s neither a trumpeter who wears a robot suit and plays the instrument nor a robot pretending to play the trumpet along with pre-recorded sound.

This robot has “lips” and a “lung”. To play the trumpet, the “lung” pumps out air, and the “lips” vibrate to produce the sound.

I was surprised that a robot can make such organic tone, I mean, to me it doesn’t sound artificially at all.

I like how it opens its arm during the performance, and waves the hand to audiences when it finished playing.
