Scrapbooking is fun and creative, and recently it has been becoming popular in Japan. Maybe it is popular in your country as well (^^). A lot of products, tools, and materials for this hobby are available. A craft punch is one of the useful tools for making exclusive scrapbooks. There are many kinds of craft punches; the ones for small patterns, the ones for big patterns, the ones to make corners round, and so on.
Today, I would like to introduce a craft punch which is very elegant.
A beautiful crown pattern with European flair.
This craft punch is from Florence Muret Collection produced by a Japanese stationery maker, Carl Co., Ltd. This small device is 1,680 yen (US$20). It is not cheap but also not too fancy. You could say that it’s just a regular stationery accessory. However the construction and function is much more than regular.
The mold cavity.
The delicate part in the middle is strengthend with extra materials.
Matching the mold with the convex pattern.
Can you see the curved surfaces of the pattern? These are to concentrate pressure on certain parts and make the cross sections sharp and smoothed. So elaborate! 😯
You can make a beautiful perforation like this.
There are some more patterns other than the crown.
Check the maker’s website if you are interested in it (^^)! >>> Carl Co., Ltd. Website (only in Japanese)
