Temple Crowded with Stone Figures

This is another post from my favorite Japanese website.

It is about a temple in Kyoto.

Otagi Nenbutsu-ji, a temple that silently stands in Sagatoriimoto, Kyoto.

The site is filled with an inexpressible atmosphere.

Is that because two-head high stone figures like ningyo-yaki (doll shaped cake) crowd on the ground?

This one is cute. šŸ˜‰

What impressed the blogger was that there were foreign visitors
more than Japanese visitors, for some reason.

Well… Kyoto has many temples but I didnā€™t know the town had such unique temple.

If you visit Kyoto, why donā€™t you check this place out?
