A Japanese software company JustSystem which is famous for its word processor Ichitaro presents “online calligraphy wallpaper maker” on its website.
It is pretty cool, and you don’t need to sign up or register anything! So I’d like to share it with you.
First, visit the website below.
http://www.justsystems.com/jp/camp/just2010/wallpaper/make.html
It will start loading. And then, it will ask to choose a size.
When you picked a size, click the “check mark.”
Next, it will ask to choose a background. Pick a background and the “check mark.”
Now it is the fun part.
You have three brushes (small, medium, and large) and three inks (black, white, and red). Use them and draw whatever you want! If you want to undo, click the arrow next to the small brush, and if you wan to delete all, click the “X.”
When you finish, click the square with an arrow on the right bottom corner to save.
Open the saved picture, and right click on it and set it as the background (wallpaper).
I drew “Nippon” which means Japan. The word in the very top picture I drew is “wa” which means Japan, harmony and peace. It is difficult to draw with a mouse (^_^;)
Just like real brush calligraphy, when you draw slowly, the ink runs, and when you draw fast, the bush sweeps.
Once you get the hang of it, you will be able to control the brush.
This is JAPAN Style!
