The disaster on March 11 brought chaos even to non-devastated areas. One of the confusions was “panic buying”. A little while ago, people rushed to stores to buy certain kinds of products like water, rice, bread, and instant ramen.
Look at the photo above. These are the shelves for bread. Almost empty! A situation like this rarely happens in Japan.
Bread ingredients like wheat flour are also sold out.
I didn’t know that there were so many bread-lovers in Japan ^^;
Today, I would like to introduce a blogger’s interesting attempt. He tries to make bread out of “bread crumbs”, because bread crumbs are made out of bread! Hmmm. I think it makes quite a bit of sense.
Plenty of “bread crumbs”
All you need is bread crumbs and water. That’s it!
Add some water to bread crumbs.
Knead it into dough.
Bake it in the oven.
Tadah! Wow, It’s obviously bread!
Inside looks a little too wet, but still “bread” enough!
Natural smile ^^. It must be delicious.
Now we can survive even if there is no bread left at stores. But actually, we Japanese need rice more than bread! Next time, I will introduce his next brave attempt to make “rice”.
To be continued….
