According to the latest report, the death toll from the 8.8 earthquake exceeded 1000 and more than 640 people are missing. Several towns were totally destroyed and unable to make contact with 10,000 people in Minamisanriku, a town in Miyagi Prefecture. Most houses and buildings (including the town office) in the town were submerged.
It is very cold in Northeast Japan, it even showed last night. The victims are short in blankets, water, food, toilet papers, clothes…; however, delivery services are not functioned due to the traffic network breakdown.
What we can do for now is raising relief fund. Your help will be really really appreciated.
