On December 27, 2010, a Japanese major video sharing website Nico Nico Douga’s main office pre-opened in Harajuku, Tokyo.
Nico Nico Douga is managed by Niwango. In addition to the Japanese main site, there are also Taiwanese, German, and Spanish versions available.
Unlike other video sharing sites, comments by the users are overlaid directly onto the videos. And many uploaded videos are related to anime, manga or video games.
Nico Nico Honsha, the main office has a studio for Nico Nico Live Broadcasting, a café, and a store, where visitors can buy the CDs and illustrations that are popular among the users. What the PR manager especially recommends from the store is “Nico Nico Douka,” which is a wafer and milk chocolate sandwich made in collaboration with LOTTE, a Japanese major confectionery company.

The wafer comes with a sticker designed Nico Nico Douga’s logo and characters.

At the café, visitors can have special sweets while watching the Nico Nico Live Broadcasting. It will open in February.
Nico Nico Honsha main office is 5 minutes walk from Harajuku Station. It is on a side street on Takeshita-dori street.
